Terms & Conditions
1. Who we are
Rebel Combat Sports Ltd, company number 17320284, registered in England & Wales. Registered office: Unit 27–29, Mountney Bridge Business Park, Eastbourne Road, Westham, Pevensey BN24 5NJ. In these terms, "the club" and "we" mean Rebel Combat Sports Ltd. Contact: hello@rebelcombatsports.com.
2. Membership
Membership types and prices are as listed at rebelcombatsports.com/schedule-and-pricing. That page is the single source for current prices; these terms do not repeat them. The founding rate stays yours unless you cancel; if you cancel and later rejoin, the standard rate applies.
Membership is personal and non-transferable.
For members under 18, the parent or guardian who signs the Parental Consent Pack is the contracting party: they hold the membership, pay for it, and cancellation or freeze notices must come from them.
Drop-in visitors and open-mat guests train under the Code of Conduct and must complete the Informed Consent & Acknowledgement of Risk form before their first time on the mat. These terms' membership clauses don't otherwise apply to them.
The club may decline an application for membership. Refusal of membership is not a sanction — it just means the club isn't the right fit.
3. Payments
Monthly memberships (founding and standard) are collected monthly, in advance. Punch cards are paid in advance and drawn down per class. Drop-in payments are made per session. The trial is free.
If a payment fails, you have 7 days to resolve it. If it is still unresolved after 7 days, we may suspend your membership until it is. If a failed payment is still unresolved 30 days after the 7-day window, we treat the membership as cancelled under clause 5. Resolving within those 30 days keeps a founding member's rate lock intact.
4. Cooling-off
If you sign up online or away from the venue, you have 14 days from sign-up to cancel for a full refund under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Email hello@rebelcombatsports.com within those 14 days and we will refund you in full.
If you train during those 14 days, you agree we may deduct a fair amount for the sessions used and refund the rest. Free trial sessions are always free and are never deducted. Any deduction is pro-rata to the monthly fee (the days elapsed), not the drop-in rate.
5. Cancellation
There is no minimum term. To cancel a monthly membership, email hello@rebelcombatsports.com before your next billing date. Your membership runs to the end of the period you have already paid for, then stops. No further payments are taken.
6. Freezing
If injury or an extended absence keeps you off the mat, you can freeze your membership by emailing hello@rebelcombatsports.com. Frozen months are not billed. Freezing does not break the founding-rate lock — you haven't cancelled. There is no arbitrary limit on how long a freeze can last — tell us roughly when you expect to be back, and update us if that changes.
7. Changes by us
We give at least 30 days' notice of any price change, by email, before it takes effect. The founding-rate lock in clause 2 is not affected by price changes under this clause. If you don't want the new price, cancel before it takes effect (clause 5).
The class schedule may change with reasonable notice. Where we cancel a class, we make it up or credit it where practical.
8. Your obligations
You agree to:
- comply with the Code of Conduct and the club's safety rules;
- answer the medical declaration honestly, and report new injuries or conditions before training.
The forms you sign at joining — the membership form, and the Informed Consent & Acknowledgement of Risk form (or, for under-18s, the Parental Consent Pack) — are part of the membership agreement.
9. Suspension and exclusion
Suspension and exclusion follow the sanctions ladder in the Code of Conduct, section 7. Removal from the club always happens under a named policy, never arbitrarily.
- Suspension: a suspension is for a stated period, in writing. Billing pauses during any suspension longer than 7 days, unless the written suspension decision states otherwise and explains why.
- Exclusion for cause: no refund of the current month. If a punch-card holder is excluded for cause, unused classes are refunded pro-rata; the current-month rule applies only to monthly memberships.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law. Grappling carries inherent risks, which are explained in the Informed Consent & Acknowledgement of Risk form; we are not liable for injuries arising from those inherent risks where we have met our duty of care. We are not liable for loss of or damage to personal property beyond what the law requires.
11. Data
We handle your personal data as described in the Privacy Notice.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute goes to the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in this clause affects your rights as a consumer.
